Journeyman Electrician - Night Shift

Salary - $27.75 - $29.00
Reporting to the supervisor/manager of Maintenance the principal duties of a Journeyman Electrician will be to perform ongoing maintenance of the lighting systems including building lighting, street and parking lighting, and apron masting lighting.
Position will require access to secured areas. Applicant will need to qualify for a security clearance pass.
Spot relamping when and if required
Roadway lighting spot relamping
Illuminated road signs spot relamping
Emergency roadway lamp post repair or replacement.
Provide guidance to General Maintenance Tech.
Provide technical assistance and advice as directed by the director
Ensures that due diligence is exercised in the use of equipments and supplies
Ensures the assigned tasks are completed and work orders are closed within the time frame given in response time policy
Post Secondary college education
Sign and Light Fixture Installer Certificate or Certificate of Qualification – Electrical Journeyman TQ
Field Safety Representative – Class B
Valid BC class 5 drivers license
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Appropriate knowledge for installation not greater than 750 volts
Experience with 44’ boom truck and/or 125’ lift
3-5 years experience
