Junior Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the supervisor/manager of Maintenance the principal duties of a Junior Maintenance Technician are assisting with minor carpentry, floor/wall repair, maintenance of water feature & HVAC maintenance.

Position will require access to secured areas. Applicant will need to qualify for a security clearance pass.
 

 

  • Millwork laminate, moldings & hardware repairs.

  • Repair of tile and laminate flooring

  • Repair of walls (drywall & painting)

  • Servicing & repair of manual doors.

  • Glass/glazing repair & replacement

  • Inspection and cleaning of communication rooms.

  • Maintenance and repairs of water features.

  • Cleaning of a variety of filers for duct systems.

  • Maintenance on belts and pulleys for air handling units, fans and fan coils.

  • Transport of tools and materials to work sites

 

  • Grade XII diploma, required
  • Post secondary college education, preferred
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Valid BC class 5 drivers license, required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • General understanding of mechanical systems.
