Project Facility Maintenance Manager

Representing the company to the client this role will:
• Act as the technical authority providing advice and guidance with respect to technical issues, relative to building systems, operations and maintenance.
• Implement and administer a Preventative Maintenance Management System with transition to a computer maintenance management system (CMMS)
 

Responsibilities: 

• Roll out a CMMS (with a full scale Preventative Maintenance System) to various facilities
• Develop standardized equipment hierarchy, failure codes, and a Preventative Maintenance Program, with detailed job plans for building systems and assets; in order to improve safety, product quality, production efficiency and labour/material effectiveness.
• Provide Technical Oversight and advice of day-to-day building operations and make important decisions regarding the building, the maintenance program, service contracts issues
• Supervise and evaluate maintenance service provider contracts
• Ensure site compliance with client’s standards, policies and procedures
• Ensure site compliance with applicable codes, standards and authorities having jurisdiction 
• Work with outside agencies regarding audits, surveys and inspections
• Prepare building operating budget annually and provide advice and guidance of, the buildings long term capital planning
• Attend meetings and liaise with client representative(s) to understand and meet all necessary aspects and needs of operational activities in relation with quality, maintenance deliverables and other client requirements.
• Update building CAD drawings as required

Requirements: 

• Over 3 years experience in a “Facilities Management” managerial capacity
• Over 3 years of Project Management experience
• Practical / hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of government and/or institutional facilities
• Sound technical knowledge and experience with building systems
• Sound knowledge of TPM, TQM, Process Mapping and Failure Analysis
• Successfully developed Preventative Maintenance Program, Job Plans and Failure Codes
• Completion of University Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Bilingual - Fluent in English and French both oral and written
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office or similar software, including custom databases.
• Advanced Word, Excel, ability to use computer maintenance management systems (CMMS )
