Project Scheduler/Planner is responsible for the production and management of the project schedule and working with the project management team to deliver the project on time.

Responsibilities: 
  • Liaise with the project management teams on all scheduling matters
  • Analyze and evaluate construction methods, techniques and logistics
  • Preparation of the Master / Contract / Managing schedule and supporting information
  • Analyze / prepare project progress positions and forecast project completions
  • Identify project risks / opportunities and participate in the management process
  • Assist in the preparation of extension of time claim submissions
  • Production of tender / RFP information and schedules
  • Attend bid adjudication meetings and present detailed explanation of schedule and methodology
  • Prepare presentations and attend interviews
  • Ensure that all aspects of safety are taken into consideration when planning a project.
  • Maintain close relationships and liaise with other members of the Planning job family, contribute to the transfer of best practice
Requirements: 
  • The paramount skill to this position is the ability "to build the project in your head" so to speak and understand the sequence and challenges of a construction project rather than the ability to use the software. As such it is important that the suitable candidate has training and experience in various forms of construction methodology, contracts, and sectors
  • The software knowledge although important is secondary. Ideally, the right candidate is proficient in Primavera or equivalent scheduling software as well as developing spreadsheets in Excel to augment the scheduling software
  • Experience in scheduling construction projects, ideally within ICI construction
  • Proven track record of schedule preparation and updating from the concept stage of projects through to total performance
  • Capable of liaising with Design Team, Owners, Trade Contractors and Field Staff to Lead the scheduling process
  • Resourceful in the gathering and disseminating of the needed input to fully maintain the schedules
  • Work closely with field staff and Trades to develop and monitor short term schedules
  • MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and reporting to the management team
  • Willing to travel to review specific projects
  • Other special duties as assigned
