QA/QC Technician

The position of QA/QC Technician will report directly to the Superintendent, Construction and Operations, located at the Field Headquarters. Candidates for the position must be  able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form and be able to work as a team member in delivering independent Quality and Environmental Management compliance field assessments for services performed by patrol and infrastructure contract staff. 


  • Assessing on a routine basis Environmental and Quality Management performances throughout the Area Maintenance Contract to assure all operations are in compliance with the Contract performance requirements. 
  • Preparing quality and environmental assessment reports including issuing of Opportunities for improvement and Non-conformance documents for field operations which have been identified for potential improvement or have failed to meet contract performance requirements,
  • Assisting Head Office Quality/Environmental Coordinator in revising established standard management procedures for various operational activities within Carillion’s field maintenance and construction operations.
  • Assuring Carillion AMC contract operations meet Quality & Environmental Performance Standards by undertaking continual field assessments.  This will include routine travel throughout the Area Maintenance area assessing infrastructure conditions against performance standards as well as undertaking patrol yard assessments throughout the year during all seasons.
  • Assisting the Superintendent in resolving issues related to external quality and environmental non-conformance reports.
  • Assisting the Superintendent in assessing fleet quality and environmental performance issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.


  • Good interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Graduate from a post secondary program
  • Able to analyze information and prepare charts.
  • Experience using commercial word processing, spreadsheet and basic graphic software.
