To manage a predetermined office(s) to successfully deliver the minimum required budgeted profit and/or performance standards as set by the business, through the recruitment, performance, management, training and development of all your staff and providing a professional recruitment service to candidates and clients, ensuring that the team and/or the location is fully compliant with all IMS and employment law procedures. Subject to managerial direction, the Job Holder will generally be subject to broad practices and procedures that are covered by functional/business precedents and policies. The job holder will probably possess some specialized knowledge/skills/qualifications gained through 'on the job' experience and specific training.
Develop, implement and manage short, medium and long term activities that will ensure your branch(s) will, as a minimum, deliver its budget
Responsibility to ensure all staff have clearly outlined targets and objectives, which are aligned to the branch targets, are set monthly and reviewed weekly with a record kept on each individual’s file for performance management.
To individually lead on the development of new and existing targeted customers aligned to the wider work winning strategy
Constantly review customer satisfaction levels and establish action plans to improve quality and standards of service
Responsibility for the team and/or location to provide clear and accurate correspondence to clients, candidates, associates and head office, compiling reports, letters, objectives and management information as requested.
Responsibility to ensure that the team is proactive in developing and reacting to new and existing internal and external clients, to increase the number of temporary workers working or permanent placements, complying at all times with Canadian legislation, Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
Responsibility to ensure all staff record all essential and relevant information and it is maintained and updated accordingly on appropriate company IT systems
Ensure delivery of all contractual performance levels and service level agreements.
Ensure all property, offices, depots within control are maintain and presented in a professional manner at all times.
Ensure 100% compliance to all company processes, procedures and management systems.
Manage sickness, absence and disciplinary issues.
Take a pro-active approach to continuously improve service delivery and professionalism.
Undertake workplace inspections on a regular basis within areas of responsibility.
Maximize all sustainability, equality and diversity opportunities internally and externally.
To manage a fleet of vehicles ensuring legal compliance at all times (where required).
Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risks
Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their specific contract, project or specialism
Inputs to planning activities with horizons of typically 1-2 years
Operates within agreed operational and/or management guidelines
Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables
Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
Manages the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility
Focus of work is predominantly against defined targets but performs a range of tasks from complex to straightforward
Typically manages cost centre budget.
Works within clear budgetary guidelines.
Translates plans and requirements into realistic budgets and targets for sub-teams.
Promotes innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the team and/or location.
Manages variable costs
May contribute to budget planning
Typically first line manager with overall people responsibility
Co-ordinates available resources to deal with work in hand
Required to assist less experienced staff
Responsible for implementing disciplinary actions up to final warning
Thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience & training
Experience of supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function
Likely to have 5 years business experience, 2 years managerial and/or technical experience and be a fully qualified Recruitment or Human Resources professional with a minimum of 2 years PQE (post qualification experience).
